Ann Marie currently studies at the Department of Psychology, Wilfrid Laurier University. Ann Marie does research in the interdisciplinary field of Community Psychology. Their current project is 'The Mental Health Care of Mixed-Race Indigenous-Black Women in Canada.' Theoretical considerations include Critical Race Theory, Decolonization Theory, and Intersectionality. Community-based research, with a voice for community members, is utilized as a method for transformative change for individuals and communities, within an ecological model.
