Teara Fraser is Métis from Fort Chipewyan and the first Indigenous woman in Canada to start an airline on her own, Iskwew Air, based at Vancouver International Airport. Alongside her career as a pilot, Teara is also the CEO and Founder of The Raven Institute. She also established the Aviation Leadership Foundation in 2008 and served as Director, Executive Director and Strategic Advisor for the British Columbia Aviation Council (BCAC). Finally, Teara is a Co-Founder and Co-Chair of PAWN (Professional Aboriginal Women's Network).
